2024 Local Union and Unit Elections

To our USW 7619 Members,

 

The Elections Committee met on Wednesday March 20, 2024 to review the election process, verify the validity of the nominees, and set the dates/ times of our upcoming election.  We are excited to share that all nominees were verified to be qualified candidates.  The following USW 7619 Union Officers have been awarded due to acclimation:

President – USW – Kyle Wolff

Vice President – USW – Tyler Fitzpatrick

Treasurer – Denny Karsten

Financial Secretary – Theresa Tourand

Recording Secretary – USW – Ryan Hagan

Unit President – Varsteel – RJ Bebek

Unit Secretary – Varsteel – Scott Andrew

Guide – Ben Schmidt

Committee Chairs:

Unit Grievance Chair – Varsteel – Esco Pryce

Election Dates:

April 10, April 11, April 14, and April 16.  Results will be announced on April 17, 2024

 

Voting Locations and Times:

Mine Dry – Each day Morning 6:00am to 9:00am and Evening 7:00pm to 8:30 pm

Mill Parking Lot – Each Day morning 6:00am to 8:00am and Evening 4:30pm to 8:00pm

Absentee Voters @ Union Hall, Kamloops – April 10 at 10:00am to 2:00 pm and April 15 8:30 to 4:30pm

Varsteel Site – April 15 7:00am to 8:00am

All votes must be cast in person and behind the private space made available.  Votes not made in this fashion will not be accepted.  If you make an error on your ballot please contact the teller immediately and do not drop into the ballot box.  Absolutely no exceptions will be permitted.

Candidate Information will be available on Thursday March 28 via 3 methods:

  2. QR code
  3. Printed copies available through candidates
